CEO Kenneth DeGiorgio Faces Federal Ass@ult Charges After Alleged Cruise Ship Ch0king Incident

Kenneth DeGiorgio who leads a California-based financial services company faces federal ass@ult charges following his alleged ch0king of a man during a Virgin Voyages cruise ship voyage.

The Resilient Lady ship sailed internationally when the incident took place during early hours of Monday morning.

A dispute started when Nichol DeGiorgio requested a barefooted person to wear shoes at the shipboard On The Rocks bar. The complaint identified the passenger M.A. who cursed at the victim while gesturing offensively.

The dispute intensified rapidly when Kenneth DeGiorgio walked toward M.A. and presumably strangled him with his hands.

The security video captured DeGiorgio getting up from his seat to apply physical restraint on the victim. The victim revealed to investigators his throat felt like it would be torn out while DeGiorgio threatened to kill him during the violent encounter.

CEO Kenneth DeGiorgio Faces Federal Assault Charges After Alleged Cruise Ship Choking Incident

DeGiorgio spent his time under ship confinement until the vessel reached San Juan, Puerto Rico, on Tuesday. Local police officers picked DeGiorgio up upon his arrival before filing assault charges at the federal level.

The defense attorneys for DeGiorgio asserted in a statement that he defended his wife against victim’s harassment, but authorities later obtained different information from the wife.

Authorities confirmed through questioning that DeGiorgio’s wife recognized her mistake in asking M.A. to wear shoes before she learned of the situation. Furthermore she confirmed the victim had not physically harmed her.

First American Financial Corporation CEO DeGiorgio declared his confidence in securing exoneration after becoming CEO in February 2022.
