American rapper and fashion mogul Kanye West has once again found himself at the center of public debate after making striking revelations about his past relationship with ex-wife Kim Kardashian. In an interview with DJ Akademiks, West spoke openly about his co-parenting challenges, unexpected regrets, and ongoing controversies.
During the discussion, West touched on various subjects, including his relationships with music icons Beyoncé and Jay-Z, as well as his personal struggles. However, what captured the most attention was his shocking admission about fatherhood.
DJ Akademiks brought up the difficulties of co-parenting their four children, he also pointed out public criticism suggesting that West fails to take responsibility for his actions and highlighted the strained dynamic between the rapper and Kardashian.
In response, West made an unexpected admission: “That was my fault. I didn’t want to have children with this person after the first two months of being with her, but that wasn’t God’s plan.”

During the interview, West also defended a previous social media post where he questioned the mental capacity of Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s children. Surprisingly, he suggested that this post might have been his “best or strongest,” even when compared to his past inflammatory remarks related to Nazi ideology.
The ex-couple, West and Kardashian, were married for six years until they finalized their divorce in 2022. Together, they share four children: daughters North, 11, and Chicago, 7, as well as sons Saint, 9, and Psalm, 5.
In the past, West has publicly accused Kardashian of controlling their children’s upbringing, particularly regarding their racial identity and exposure to Hollywood culture.
Since his high-profile split from Kardashian, West has moved on swiftly, marrying Australian architect Bianca Censori in December 2022, who works with his Yeezy brand.
