Sofo Obotan, the shocking preacher once hit the headlines in Ghana when he made a shocking confession that had left many in shock.
In a video viewing to the GH Page, the self-proclaimed man of God confessed to forcing his church members to drink what is known as “Funu Ho Nsuo” or in the native language translated to mean the water obtained in the body of a corpse with the argument that he would protect the congregants with it.

Sofo Obotan in the shocking revelation confessed that he was a counterfeit pastor and had been practising lies to make his life easy at the cost of his innocent followers.
“I feared Spiritual onslaughts.”
Obotan claims that at one point when he had duped a number of individuals during his ministry, this is when he feared retaliation against him spiritually by the victims. To save himself, he added that he resorted to other spiritual means and one of the rituals was the use of Funu Ho Nsuo.
I walked on various toes. I earned money by fraud. Spiritually, I must be strengthened or be abolished and hence, I said in the video.

He defended his acts saying that it was a kind of necessary evil to avert spiritual harm. Very unfortunately, this entailed involving his church people by causing them to consume the unfamiliar fluid during a spiritual security service.

The exposure has elicited anger on the internet as several people in Ghana are demanding that the government look into the situation and come after Sofo Obotan.
Even others have felt sympathetic to his followers terming them victims of spiritual manipulation and exploitation.
The case joins a series of problematic deeds by some of the self-proclaimed pastors in Ghana, enjoining a rekindled demand of a tighter control and limits over the religious activities in the nation.
