Whoopi Goldberg has wasted no time calling out the fight between Donald Trump and Elon Musk. On Monday’s The View, Goldberg openly discussed the strange feud between Tucker Carlson and CNN, and called it fake, strategic, and only a distraction.
The confrontation between the former president and the tech billionaire started because of Trump’s controversial government spending bill.
The situation became serious when Musk revealed that Trump’s name is mentioned in the Epstein records. Since the feud began, it has become very popular online and late-night comics are having fun at both men’s expense.
Still, Goldberg doesn’t find any humor in the situation.

I’m glad that you all bought into the idea.
While discussing the Trump-Musk dispute, conservative Alyssa Farah Griffin said she thinks Trump is ahead in the dispute.
In my opinion, Donald Trump will win this, since he already promised to go after Elon Musk’s Pentagon contracts.
However, Whoopi interrupted right away.
She said, in a tone that showed she was both amused and doubtful, “I’m glad you all bought into my story.”

According to Griffin, she is serious when talking about aliens. Goldberg did not hesitate and quickly declared: “I think it’s not real.” I do follow the law. The tactic is too strategic.
This Could Be a Way to Hide Something Larger
For Goldberg, all of this looks like it’s meant to lead us in the wrong direction.
“Now everyone seems to be upset about everything?” she asked. No, I am sorry. Once again, this is just an excuse to make us talk about other things while ignoring what’s happening with our finances.
This statement showed that a lot of Americans are annoyed when celebrity drama or political events take up most of the news, while serious issues are overlooked.
That explanation doesn’t work for me. For me, their lies are enough reason not to buy their products. I don’t believe what they say any longer since they have not proven to be trustworthy.
A Trend of Suspicion
Whoopi’s statement was meaningful since many people today feel the same way about media-dominating figures.
No matter if the person is a famous tech creator, a politician, or a billionaire with a huge social media presence, Goldberg’s words suggest she wants to understand the truth of the situation.

And she made it clear she had no patience for other politicians too. By her comment, the men are seen to have been involved in a purposeful diversion from their plan.
Many late-night shows are now covering the election.
Of course, the disagreement between Trump and Musk has appeared in many other areas too. The comic world has taken full advantage of it. During his show, Jimmy Kimmel mocked the situation that was happening.
One MAGA hero is now saying another MAGA hero isn’t releasing the Epstein files, because he is connected to them. How do they make use of their strengths? I am looking forward to discovering the answer. In the end, I can see one of them being arrested and ending up in a cell with Diddy.

Even though Kimmel was funny, Goldberg was more serious, pointing out that such matters prevent the American public from dealing with major issues like democracy, inequality, and the trust in leaders.
The program is called The View
On many occasions, The View has questioned well-known men in politics and tech. Goldberg, in particular, is not afraid to challenge supposed hypocrisy, manipulation, and double standards, and she did so again on Monday’s show.

Her anger this time appears to be more intense. Her voice didn’t have the usual touch of comedy that we are used to. It was rough, straight to the point, and very honest. Rather than seeing it as a battle between their egos, Whoopi says the Trump-Musk drama is mainly about confusing the public.
There Is a Wide Difference in How People Debate Public Issues
While the fight between Trump and Musk may be entertaining for some, others believe it proves that big players tend to dominate discussions, setting aside more important issues.
Often, the public fights in business news draw attention away from the real issues, just like the Epstein files, government deals, and secret alliances sometimes do.
Goldberg’s words show that we should go beyond the headlines and ask ourselves who profits when we pay attention to particular issues.
With so much noise in the media, she said clearly: don’t fall for everything you read in the news. When public figures can benefit from keeping people’s attention elsewhere, they often create distractions.
